A Stream of Poetic Conscious by ~AbysmalBliss:iconAbysmalBliss:

A HEAVY
SILENCE
IMBUES
THIS MOMENTOUS
OCCASION

SHORT SMILES
NOURISH
THE EGO,
BUT BEWARE,
FOR BUT A
MISFLUTTERED
EYELASH
COULD KILL ME WHERE I STAND

THOUGH,
THE ONLY BLOOD
SPILLED
WILL BE THIS PENS,
AS I RECORD MY

Author's Comments

Pretty much, all I did was write this as quickly and (what I perceive to be) as poetically as possible.
It was actually an enjoyable experience and to justify such an abomination, I'll call it 'A snapshot of the soul'. Try it, the results can be really interesting.

I think the flow went well. What does the all uppercase words mean? Does it signify the thoughts of a poet writing a poem?

Some people say they haven't yet found themselves. But the self is not something one finds; it is something one creates.

I thought it would better communicate the improvisational side the poem.......
:iconabysmalbliss:
Yeah, that is actually a fair description. Just unrefined randomness

Very cool! As you know, I cant comment poetry.. But I really do like this!
:iconsomething44:
Ah yes, the way you stressed your words do add to the feel of the poem. A bit unorthodox but this style kinda suits you.

I really like the way it's all uppercase. Very original, and it really gets one's attention. I especially like the second stanza.

I'm looking forward to reading more of your work! :D

These fragile dusty frames
House canvases of souls.
We are bruised and broken masterpieces,
But we did not paint ourselves."
